Introducing Wildlife Conservation Global

John Lukas with an okapiWildlife Conservation Global (WCG), formerly White Oak Conservation Center, Inc. is excited to introduce our new name and logo. The transition to self-governance from our long-standing relationship with the Howard Gilman Foundation is now complete and underscores WCG’s standing as an independent conservation nonprofit based in Jacksonville, Florida.

Wildlife Conservation Global continues its strong commitment to international programs that involve field-based conservation efforts for globally important species whose protection influences and supports the persistence of other lesser known species in the ecosystem. As the umbrella organization for the Okapi Conservation Project (OCP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and as a liaison for giraffe and rhino conservation projects, we are fully committed to providing transparency, accountability and support to programs that encourage the protection of endangered species in nature.

We are extremely grateful to our donors and friends for their continued support during this period of transition. The work of Wildlife Conservation Global is integral to ensuring the ongoing success of the Okapi Conservation Project and other important conservation programs around the world.
